Transformation - Projects Integrated EligibilityPublic Hearings on Eligibility Call Center Model Purpose | Locations | Agenda | Public Comment The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is conducting two hearings to receive public comment on the proposed use of call centers for eligibility determination. Section 2.06 of H.B. 2292, 78th Legislature, Regular Session, 2003, requires HHSC to conduct a public hearing to solicit public comment prior to establishing the first call center to determine eligibility for certain public assistance and public health programs. These programs include: the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP); Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF); Medicaid, nutritional assistance programs; including food stamps; long-term care services; community-based support services; and other health and human services programs. HHSC will accept public comment on the Commission's proposed model for eligibility determination. The public hearings will take place from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. May 15, 2004Locations:
