Client Services Improving Contracting Practices

HHSC is working to identify contracting concerns and develop solutions to make it easier to contract with all Health and Human Service agencies and to standardize reporting across all our departments.

Here's how you can help

  1. Some concerns have already been identified. We'd like your recommendations and comments on these issues.

  2. We have also provided a list of existing program contracts. We would like for you to review these programs and submit comments and suggestions for improvements.
  3. Topics under Development: The following topics will be highlighted for comment beginning April 16, 2004:
    • Definition of Capital Asset - Dollar Thresholds and Reporting
    • Prior Approval of Purchases of computers and capital equipment
    • Standardization of contract amendments
    • Definition of equipment and capital equipment
    • Indirect Cost

Frequently Asked Questions

Because things are changing, HHSC recognizes that you may have questions about your current contracts. Here are Frequently Asked Questions with answers. However, if you have other questions that have not been addressed, please email them to: Michael Woolsey, Director, Enterprise Purchasing Division, HHSC.

This project is in partnership with the United Ways of Texas.
